Bride 'Faked Leukaemia To Pay For Dream Wedding'

A US woman has been charged with fraud after falsely claiming she was dying of cancer in a bid to get her "dream wedding".


Well-wishers donated a wedding dress, the rings, and a honeymoon time-share in Aruba to 25-year-old Jessica Vega, who said she had leukaemia.But the New York state attorney general's office said she had been indicted on charges of fraud and grand larceny, after investigating concerns initially voiced by her husband, Michael O'Connell.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said: "By pretending to have a terminal illness, Vega inexcusably took advantage of the community's hearts and minds and profited off of their generosity

Pub worker sentenced for fake daughter leukaemia death lies.

A FORMER pub worker has been given a community sentence after conning people with a story about her fictitious daughter dying from leukaemia.

Katie Wolff, aged 20, of Claremont Close, Orpington, must do 180 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. Wolff was also told to pay £558 in compensation when she was sentenced on Friday (May 7).
Bromley Magistrates’ Court previously heard how Wolff initially told her employers at the George and Dragon in Downe High Street she was unable to come to work as her daughter had broken her leg. She later returned to work and said her daughter had been diagnosed with leukaemia, before subsequently breaking the news that her little girl had died.
Magistrates were told the pub then organised a charity event to pay for the funeral and two customers even shaved their beards off to help raise cash. However, the court heard Wolff aroused suspicion when she said her dead daughter’s headstone had been vandalised.

The pub landlord realised a headstone would not be put up so soon after a funeral. It was then discovered Wolff never had a child in the first place. Wolff pleaded guilty to one charge of fraud by false representation to the value of £558.

What can you say about people like this, except that they are an insult to the hundreds and thousands of parents who's REAL children are fighting a REAL Disease.Shame on this lowlife for such a terrible twisted con!.

PCSO lied about daughter having Leukaemia and conned money from colleagues

I read a story in a paper today about a PCSO (Police Community Support Officer) somewhere in the UK (Can't rememebr the exact details) who conned colleagues out of a substantial amount of money by claiming that her daughter had Leukaemia. She later told people that her daughter had died of the disease, but was caught out when someone spotted the "desceased" child very much alive.

What can you say about these sort of individuals ? No......don't tempt me.

Of course there is a twist at the end of this tale, and that is the fact that she will not be presecuted because they cannot ascertain the exact amount of money that this woman conned out of the kind hearted mates at her Police station and her neighbours. If only she knew what suffering and pain the parents of kids who really do have this disease are going through on a daily basis, perhaps then she might grasp the feeling of outrage that people feel at her sick con.

Lets just hope that she is no longer a PCSO, and if by any mad chance she still is, lets hope that they have sent her to Coventry (It's an English term for not speaking to a disgraced individual!)
