Indian Virus Scam Phone Call. Number 01234567890

.

Just a quick heads up that this scam is yet again doing the rounds and I should know because I have just had one of these phone calls this morning!

The phone rings, you pick it up, it rings another extension and (in my case) an Indian lady answered and asked if my name was Mr Andrews. I told her it was not and asked what the call was about. She told me that I had a computer that had been infected by a virus and that I needed her help to "save" my computer. I told her that I did not and that I was a computer engineer and that she was running a scam and guess what........she hung up!

Apparently they try to bill you for their "service" via one of your credit cards which they will ask you for the details of!.

Hi there

Got two calls from this number 01234567890 today!
I am visiting the UK and they called me on my Spanish mobile.
The guy on the other end knew my first name which was a bit worrying. Admitadly I was in a poor reception area and the call was lost but he tried again but nothing was lost or gained!
Will post again if they try again!

I think the number is spoofed. My elderly father received the same call and thankfully asked me first before sending money to an indian guy who agreed to clean his computer from viruses. He claimed he was with Microsoft and my father's computer was sending reports to them about being infected with dangerous viruses. My father asked the caller to call back later and contacted me for advice. 10 mins later they called again from another # 1300784895. Here is what I found about it - http://www.everycall.us/phone-number/1-130-078-4895/. Beware and never give them access to your computer.

Hi,
I just received a call from 01234567890 at 9:05pm.
It was an Idian guy, he asked for me by my full name and said my full address which is worrying :-(. I said I was busy and didn't want to talk but he spoke over me and said I was a lyer, that I wasn't who I said I was then told me to shut my dirty mouth. I then kindly told him to fuck off and then I hung up. I wish I knew how he knew so much information about me!!?? Worrying.

Weird, having had a call from this phone number but didn't answer it quick enough thankfully. I googled the number to this site. The kicker here is that my name is Mr Andrews. Have had these types of calls before but have had discussions with the callers offering the same services. But my son is well up on computers so told them to go away in short jerky motions.

South Koreans use technology via the phone networks and government to block all Nuisance calls If they can do it why can't we do in the UK

Just received yet another call from a man, with a very heavy Indian accent, calling himself "James"!! from "Windows technical department".
Knew my name and told me that problems had been picked up on my computer. Replied that I didn't think so as my IT man only serviced it last week!Is there no way to stop these very inconvenient Calls?

I had another of these calls today. I hung up on him, and he hasn't called again yet. Said he was calling from Internet Security.

Yeah right!!! When we will be able to block these nuisance calls?
